Backflow Prevention and Cross-Connection Control
COURSE OVERVIEW
Backflow prevention and cross-connection control provides guidance to water operators on the recommended procedures and practices for operating a cross-connection control program. The purpose of any such program is to reduce the risk of contamination or pollution of the public water system. A cross-connection is an actual or potential connection between any part of a potable water system and any other environment that contains other substances that, under any circumstances, would allow such substances to enter the potable water system.
